This very “Art Deco” Sampler-Style embroidery features antique Perfume Flacons together with an ornate border of Datura blooms and Narcissus in a jet-black scrolled frame. I was inspired by my age-old flacons of Caron’s Narcisse Noir – but I took some freedom in designing to change and alter the bottle here and there.
Narcisse Noir is a perfume still available today, and one must have smelled this evocative and sultry scent to understand the 1930’s even better – feminine, seductive and very erotic, this perfume is like an essence of femininity in the ages of the “Boudoir”. Stitch this sampler, personalize it with the provided alphabet, spray gently with some perfume and hang it in your personal Boudoir – and you will feel, at least a bit, like a beautiful Femme Fatale :))
Many Special Stitches shape the ornate scrolls and beads highlight here and there. If you wish you could make a real tassle from thread remnants and sew it on, in place of the “stitched” tassle – for a very very special look!
The mere design size is 209 x 232 stitches
