Hello Châtelainers!

How can Christmas be less than two weeks away and 2023 is on the horizon? The recent weather has certainly told us that winter is here – have you had snow? Those of you who follow me on Instagram will have seen that we have some here!

This issue brings you some ideas for gifts and traditions, your favorites of 2022 and a beautiful feature of a lesser known Châtelaine Design. Enjoy!

I am sure that many of you have stitched a Christmas gift or have a piece of stitching that comes out for the festive season. With themes ranging from angels to animals, a nativity to a set of 24 seasonal ornaments, there is something for everyone. If you get started now, you will definitely have something new to hang in your home or gift to a friend next year.

Featured Design and Stitcher

White Hyacinth is a design that we don’t seem to see stitched very often but it is beautiful. Kerry Lewis stitched it on a dark background and because of that, it has a very wintery, Christmassy feel about it so is perfect to feature in this newsletter. The way the pale stitches are contrasted with the dark fabric, makes them seem like snowflakes or Christmas fairies. It is a lovely piece of work. Thank you Kerry for sending the pictures to us!
