Medieval Small Herb Star 1 – Borago

OCF – ONL 080

Onl 080 Borago white

This is the first in a series of 4 Medieval Stars, filled with pretty and detailed herbs frequently used back then, and even today! A beautiful way to try out lovely threads and beads — and a few Special Stitches: This smaller embroidery features a Borago in bloom in the center – where the flower and petals are stitched “over one” for added detail and crispness. You will work a beautiful star-shaped border with lots of Special Stitches, beads, and crystals.

Once you stitched it, be sure to buy some seeds – this is a wonderful Summer’s plant, feeds the Bees, and is lovely in taste to be cut into lettuce and salads – it tastes like fresh green cucumber!

Size: The mere design size is 95 x 95 stitches.

Recommended Fabric: 14/28 or 16/32 count in white, cream, unbleached, or black.. or whatever is your favorite of background color
