Choose the color of your fabric

Please note that this are not genuine fabric colors of any manufactuer. The colors have been hand-chosen by me, as they represent an array of colors which act as a decent, though emphasizing background for my intricate design. I strongly recommend to avoid any bold colored and/or mottled so-called "hand dyed" fabrics. Your months-long work on details and specialitles will be lost in any agitated background.

This piece is a challenge, but so worth it ! The base is a piece of lace to embroider. Lots of various Special Stitches mimic the pulled thread work etc. a genuine hand-made lace incorporates – beads and crystals are the highlights to add sparkle.

A selection of different threads and braids gives multiple effects and dimension too.

You can stitch the Hummingbirds “over-one” for a very crisp and detailed appearance – or you can use the substitution “over two” for less strain to your eyes.
