ONL 209 – A-Mazing Earth to Universe Caleidoscope

Choose the color of your fabric

Please note that this are not genuine fabric colors of any manufactuer. The colors have been hand-chosen by me, as they represent an array of colors which act as a decent, though emphasizing background for my intricate design. I strongly recommend to avoid any bold colored and/or mottled so-called "hand dyed" fabrics. Your months-long work on details and specialitles will be lost in any agitated background.

Amazing – this is the best word to describe the wonders of the Universe. Somehow I always had a great love for all things astronomy, universe, stars, moon, sky… and so it is no surprise, that sooner or later there must be a design for these elements !

Here it is – from the tiniest atome over moss and lichen, plants and trees on our earth going out there to the comets and asteroids… leaving the orbit and  reaching the other planets and far beyond seeing a twinkling glimpse of other stars and galaxies…

This is a piece for the experienced stitcher – lots of Special Stitches, Backstitching and…over-one !

PS.: As many asked for it, I added Uranus to the choice of planets. Some meant, that Pluto is not longer a planet… so , please decide yourself, which planets to stitch – they are all there for you ! 🙂

You can stitch this design now, with the planets in “over-one” for a beautiful detailed play of color – lots ! of beads and crystals – interesting threads and braids. This design is more or less solidly filled with cross stitches and Special Stitches.

The overall size is 247 x 247 stitches.

  1. Amazing! First I wanted to do Medieval Town next, then you came out with Marie Antoinette’s Roses, so I wanted to do that one next instead. And now this one, which I want to do next too. Must quit job and stitch full time. Absolutely stunning design. Think this will be next! 😉

  2. Hi Martina,

Just want to do this one … And I’ve got so many to do already, but definetly I’ll be on this one right from beginning !

  3. Love love this! I was planning on starting the peacock mystery but my plans may have changed. This design is such a temptress! It cracks me up that even the stitching world has abandoned little pluto
